Coach Coletta

Coach Coletta entered his first year as the Boys Varsity Volleyball Coach during the 2011 season. In 13 seasons the team has had an overall record of 264-63, 14 sectional final appearances, 8 Sectional Championships, 6 Regional Championship, 3 x NYSPHSAA Semi Finalists in 2015,2019, 2024, 2 x NYSPHSAA Finalists in 2017, 2023 and NYSPHSAA Champions in 2022.    Previously, he served as the junior varsity coach for seven years. In addition to coaching at Shenendehowa, Coach Coletta spent a number of years coaching and playing with the Capital District Selects 17's, 18's. Coach Coletta is also the Club Director for the Clifton Park based Capital Sliders Volleyball Club which produces student athletes who are prepared for their educational and college athletic experience.  None of what we do here at Shenendehowa would happen without our program coaches that make it all possible. 

 

Coach Coletta is a current physical education teacher at the Shenendehowa High School West and a Shenendehowa 2000 graduate. Coach Coletta continued his education at SUNY Cortland where he graduated in the spring of 2004 with his B.S. in Physical Education. During the spring of 2004 Coach Coletta was hired as the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach for the Onondaga Tigers at Onondaga Central Schools in Central New York.  Later that year he was hired by Shenendehowa  as a high school physical education teacher. In his time at Shenendehowa, Coach Coletta has also served as a volunteer assistant for the Boys Varsity Basketball team in the 2004-2005 seasons. In the years 2006-2009 Coach Coletta was an Assistant Boys Outdoor Track and Field coach where he focused on the development of sprinters, long and triple jumpers. 2011-2016 he served as the Freshman baseball head coach for Shenendehowa.  During his time at SUNY Cortland, he was a member of the Boys Track and Field team in 2001-2003 and a member of the Boys XC Running team in the fall of 2002. Coach received his Masters in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment from Walden University in 2008. 

Coach Coletta resides in Clifton Park with his Wife Colleen and their three sons Jackson, Caleb, and Wyatt.
