Coach Coletta
Coach Coletta entered his first year as the Boys Varsity Volleyball Coach during the 2011 season. In 13 seasons the team has had an overall record of 224-57, 13 sectional final appearances, 7 Sectional Championships, 5 Regional Championship, NYSPHSAA Semi Finalists in 2015,2019, NYSPHSAA Finalists in 2017, 2023 and NYSPHSAA Champions in 2022. Previously, he served as the junior varsity coach for seven years. In addition to coaching at Shenendehowa, Coach Coletta spent a number of years coaching and playing with the Capital District Selects 17's, 18's. Coach Coletta is also the Club Director for the Clifton Park based Capital Sliders Volleyball Club which produces student athletes who are prepared for their educational and college athletic experience.
Coach Coletta is a current physical education teacher at the Shenendehowa High School West and a Shenendehowa 2000 graduate. Coach Coletta continued his education at SUNY Cortland where he graduated in the spring of 2004 with his B.S. in Physical Education. During the spring of 2004 Coach Coletta was hired as the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach for the Onondaga Tigers at Onondaga Central Schools in Central New York. Later that year he was hired by Shenendehowa as a high school physical education teacher. In his time at Shenendehowa, Coach Coletta has also served as a volunteer assistant for the Boys Varsity Basketball team in the 2004-2005 seasons. In the years 2006-2009 Coach Coletta was an Assistant Boys Outdoor Track and Field coach where he focused on the development of sprinters, long and triple jumpers. 2011-2016 he served as the Freshman baseball head coach for Shenendehowa. During his time at SUNY Cortland, he was a member of the Boys Track and Field team in 2001-2003 and a member of the Boys XC Running team in the fall of 2002. Coach received his Masters in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment from Walden University in 2008.
Coach Coletta resides in Clifton Park with his Wife Colleen and their three sons Jackson, Caleb, and Wyatt.
Coach Halpern
Coach Halpern entered the Shenendehowa Boys Volleyball program in 2014. His first two years were spent as a volunteer coach with the program and he has since been named the Assistant Coach for the Varsity Boys this fall. Coach Halpern was a former 4-year player for Shenendehowa as a Libero and was a team captain in his senior year earning Honorable Mention recognition. He also played baseball at Shenendehowa and graduated in 2010.
Coach Halpern attended SUNY Cortland in pursuit of a Physical Education (K-12) teaching degree. In 2015 he joined Shenendehowa as a Physical Education Teacher at Tesago Elementary School. Aside from Volleyball, since 2017 Coach Halpern has also been the Head Coach of the JV softball team at Shen, as well as head coach for the CPH Gators Summer Baseball program, and the director of the Youth Skills Baseball Camp for GC Sports.
Coach Hagner
Coach Hagner has been coaching the JV Boys Volleyball team since the fall of 2012. Coach Hagner currently teaches Physical Education at Skano Elementary School and coaches boys lacrosse in the spring season. Coach Hagner continuously strives to improve his coaching craft and hopes that his players push to be the best versions of themselves on and off the court. Coach Hagner is a Shenendehowa alumni who was a three sport Varsity athlete in lacrosse, soccer, and indoor track and field. Coach Hagner studied Physical Education and Health Education at SUNY Cortland where he was a member of the 2006 Division 3 National Championship winning lacrosse team and the 2006 SUNYAC All-Academic team.
Coach Yowell
Coach Yowell entered his first year as the Boys Modified Volleyball coach during the 2021 season. Coach Yowell was a former volleyball player for Shenendehowa from 2013-2015, where he learned to play multiple positions on the court. He was a member of the team that won sectionals for the first time in 21 years.
Coach Yowell attended Ithaca College and played volleyball. He was the coach/captain of his team during his junior, senior, and graduate year. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Social Studies Education. Coach Yowell joined Shenendehowa as a Social Studies teacher at the high school. Coach Yowell is involved in the Capital Sliders Volleyball Club and runs the Clifton Park Adventure Challenge ropes summer camp.
Coach Cuttita entered the Shenendehowa Boys Volleyball program as an Assistant Varisty Coach in 2022. Since 2017 Coach Cuttita has been a volunteer Assistant Coach for the Jv softball team. He is a 2012 Shenendehowa graduate where he played both football and baseball. Coach Cuttita was the starting varsity catcher both his junior and senior year.
Coach Cuttita attended SUNY Brockport and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management. Currently, Coach Cuttita works at High School East.
